Fallsburg CSD HS Site Visit Report: 8/10/2023

Members On-Site Include:

Overview:

  • Reviewed project progress, discussed upcoming scope of work, and developed solutions.  Specific topics include:
    • Project Progress: New dimming rack is mounted in the loft on stage right. Curtains have been taken down.
    • Controls: Confirmed there is CAT5E cable already run in the walls to use for the new pushbutton stations.  The touchscreen station is mounted on the wall on stage right.
    • Emergency Lighting: Two inverters are specified for emergency lighting purposes.  One 1000W inverter is for the house lighting and the second 350W is for the aisle lighting.
    • Decorative Strip Tape: Reviewed the LED strip tape that will be running around the theatre.
    • Aisle Lighting: Discussed the installation of the aisle lighting, especially in regards to carpet.  Aisle lighting must be run on the outside of the seats. A plan on cutting a channel into the carpet was created to ensure proper installation. 
  • Delivered materials on site including ETC Ion Console and (2) touchscreen monitors, retrofit sockets and lamps, and backstage blue lights.
  • Connected Richard Kinman of Pantel Electric with Tyler Copeland of Keyboard Consultants to review scope of A/V work.

What’s Next?

  • PureTek will provide a lighting plot to provide guidance regarding locations to hang fixtures.
