ETCP Compliant Rigging Replacement

Remedy safety and operational failures by replacing existing rigging and drapery system to meet OSHA and ANSI code compliance.  Includes delivery, lift rental, rigging labor, basic training, and miscellaneous materials.  All rigging work to be ESTA ETCP-certified and to meet professional workmanship standards.

Overview of rigging and drapery installation includes:

  • Valance: Remove existing valance. Demo pipe and rigging points. Install new rigging points and 1 ½” schedule 40 pipebatten. Re-hang valance.
  • Main Curtain: Remove existing main curtain. Demo track and rigging points. Install new rigging points and 280 bi-parting manually rope operated track. Re-hang main curtain.
  • Borders: Remove both existing borders. Demo pipe and rigging points.  Install new rigging points and 1 ½” schedule 40 pipebatten.  Re-hand borders.
  • Rear Curtain: Remove existing rear curtain. Demo track and rigging points.  Install new rigging points and 280 bi-parting manual rope operated track.  Re-hang rear curtain.
  • Side Curtains: Remove both existing side curtains. Install new rigging points.  Re-hang side curtains.
  • Projection Screen: Remove projection screen. Demo pipe backbone and rigging points.  Install new points and pipe backbone.  Re-hang projection screen.

Stage & Auditorium Lighting Upgrade

The Seth Boyden Elementary School Theater will be equipped with industry-leading ETC infrastructure and controls.

LED stage lighting fixtures will greatly improve the Seth Boyden Elementary School theater’s production versatility and color selection, while reducing maintenance, energy usage, and heat generation.

Furnish and install new theatrical technology system including infrastructure, controls, and LED stage lighting equipment.  Labor includes new low and line voltage wiring, terminations, electrical materials, deliveries, miscellaneous materials, lift rental, disposal and site clean-up.  All electrical and low voltage work meets NEC code compliance and professional workmanship standards.

Theatrical technology system includes:

  • Infrastructure and Distribution: (6) Edison Power Out/Pipe Mount Receptacles, (3) DMX512 Out/Pipe Mounted Receptacle, (1) DMX512 In/Flush Mount Receptacle, (1) 7″ Paradigm Wall-Mount Touchscreen, (1) ETC UFMP8 8 Zone DMX Mini Panel with Back Box, (1) Paradigm Architectural Control Processor with ERn2 Enclosure, (2) UFD 600W 120V DMX Dimmers, (3) 5-Button Entry Stations.
  • Stage and House Lighting: (14) EVE P-160 RGBW LED Pars, (8) Stingray Profile RGBW 250w Ellipsoidals with Auto-Zoom Lens, (4) LED Work Lights, (150) A19/A21 LED dimmable lamps, (1) VG 350W LED Followspot w/ Base and Casters for Spot Lighting from back of house.
  • Lighting Console: (1) ETC ColorSource 20 lighting control console with integrated touch screen and (1) Dust Cover for safe storage.
  • Emergency Lighting: Equipment package for compliance with Building Codes 1008.2.1 and 1008.3 for the automatic restoration and illumination of house and backstage lighting includes (1) 500W Central Lighting Inverter Emergency Bypass, (1) UL1008 listed branch circuit emergency lighting control devices and (1) Emergency backup ballast (Note: connection to fire/emergency systems and generator tie-in by others).
  • Startup: Commissioning, programming, set-up, and system training.

5-Year Maintenance and Training

Provide professional training and comprehensive support to ensure successful system usage for Seth Boyden Elementary School, South Orange Maplewood Public Schools, and local community functions and events.

Support and Training Includes:
 

  • 1-Day on-site comprehensive console training for staff upon completion of system commissioning
  • (4) annual 1-day site visits to perform retraining and system maintenance and inspection
  • 5-year manufacturer’s warranty extension on all equipment, parts and fixtures.

Professional initial training and annual retraining on console operation ensures staff competence and confidence.
