Job Description
We’re looking for a Lighting & A/V technician to help drive forward projects from conception through completion.

Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with various tasks and challenges including:

- Perform on-site work including building out equipment racks, terminating newly run CATx cables, basic console setup, system testing, etc.
- Work directly in concert with engineering team to deliver top-tier designs and implementations.
- Provide contractor assistance via on-site support and by creating wiring (one-line diagram) diagrams for audio/video/broadcasting equipment.
- Support clients through responding to maintenance calls/emails on-site and remotely.
- Deliver project materials on site via the company cargo van.
- Conduct training for educators and highly motivated students.
- Test and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Operate audio visual equipment during events, including adjusting sound levels, lighting effects, and video displays
- Maintain inventory of audio visual & lighting equipment and perform routine maintenance and repairs
Qualifications
- Degree in Technical or Engineering Field (Note: equivalent experience or certifications will be considered)
- Experience working with and passionate about audio, visual, integration, and/or broadcasting technologies.
- Valid Driver’s License and proficiency in driving a company cargo van for site visits.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn software such as: AutoCAD or VectorWorks
- Outgoing personality with great interpersonal, verbal, and written communication ability
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hand tools for installation and repair work
- Ability to read or willing to learn how to interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Understanding of low voltage electrical systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
