AVNetwork covers the impressive transformation at Plainfield High School, where PureTek Group reimagined the campus as a fully connected, student-operated production environment. The upgrade includes a 1,600-seat auditorium, a state-of-the-art black box theater, and a high-performance esports arena—each seamlessly linked through advanced AV systems, wireless intercoms, and unified controls.

Designing high-performance systems is only part of the equation. Ensuring they are accessible, intuitive, and support a wide range of programming and curriculum needs was essential. – Dan Litvin, President & Co-Founder, PureTek Group

This fully integrated system allows production and broadcasting to happen across campus without compromise. Students can run lights and sound in a packed auditorium, stream live matches from the esports arena, or manage comms across all zones using professional tools like the Pliant CrewCom system—all while building real-world technical skills.

With collaboration from Pliant, Da-Lite, and Barco, and built-in support through PureTek’s unRAVL Controls, the project is a model for how schools can merge performance, education, and technology into one seamless ecosystem.
