Project Overview: Bridgewater-Raritan High School Theater Upgrade

Theater Infrastructure and Controls

New Theatrical Stage Dimming Infrastructure System at the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School Theater scope consists of the following dimming controls and infrastructure equipment: (1) A21 Dimmer System with Quad SCR, 0-10VDC and Non-Dim modules, (1) Strand Vision.net Architectural Controls Assembly, (5) Entry Stations, (2) Touchscreens for backstage and booth, (8) DMX network boxes, (2) Backstage DMX and Power rental plug-in stations and MCB kit.

Lighting controls via MagicQ MQ50 Compact Console 6x Universe (3,072 Channel) with 24″ Touchscreen Monitor, LED lamp, and Dust Cover.  Control console to be housed in (1) Extra Wide Rolltop Custom Quad desk in ebony black finish, unless otherwise specified.

The Chamsys MagicQ MQ50 console provides intuitive yet powerful functionality perfect for school applications.

Stage Lighting

Chauvet Rogue R2X Moving Lights are industry standards for performances from touring concerts to Broadway plays.

New stage lighting package will bring pro-grade to student productions.

Comprehensive pro-grade stage lighting package to consist of (16) Eclipse-FS Full Color LED Ellipsoidals with (16) 26-degree lens for Front-of-House spot-lighting, (24) Cameo 120W Auto-Zoom RGBW LED Par Lights, (6) Altman Spectra Cyc 200 RGBA LED Luminaires for cyclorama lighting, (2) 350W LED LED Followspot w/ Base and Casters for manual spot lighting. 

Specialty stage lighting for dynamic high-end effects includes (2) Maverick Force S Spot LED Moving Head Luminaires with Custom School Logo Gobos, (6) Chauvet Rogue R2X Wash LED RGBW Wash Movers, (10) Acclaim RGBL LED Fresnel with barn doors for overhead spot lighting, (8) Acclaim RGBL LED Zoomspot with 25-50 manual zoom lens for side fill lighting, and (12) Eclipse-FS Full Color LED Ellipsoidals with (12) 19-degree lens for color-changing spot-lighting from 2nd front-of-house position.  All lights include required accessories and cables for power and connectivity such as DMX control cables, powercon jumpers, c-clamps, safety cables, omega brackets, powercon to edison cables, etc.

House Lighting

House lighting package to provide ample even illumination and precision dimming for multi-use applications.  Package includes (40) low voltage recessed downlights with (8) Central Drive Remote Systems and 16″ to 6″ reduction trims for purpose of uniform ceiling openings, (12) Elektralite PCCOB 200Watt RGBW Recessed Wash Hybrid with sloped mount for orchestra section color changing-capable lighting, and (16) RS Series LED linear 46W, 4000K work lights.

Equipment furnished to comply with Building Codes 1008.2.1 and 1008.3 for the automatic restoration and illumination of house and backstage lighting to consist of (2) 1000W Central Lighting Inverter Emergency Bypass, (2) UL1008 listed branch circuit emergency lighting control devices, and (4) emergency backups. Scope to also include LED upgrades of misc. backstage and booth lighting.

House lighting to provide even and bright illumination to allow for multiple applications including classroom usage, lectures, productions, and more.

ETCP Certified Rigging

ETCP Rigging Certification is the Gold Standard for Safety and Code-Compliance in the Professional Theater & Entertainment Industry

Scope of work to repair and remediate safety and operational failures of existing rigging at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Theater to consist of the replacement of undersized chain that is not code-compliant with new dead hung rigging points for the stage electrics.

New second front of house position to consist of furnishing and installing (1) Prodigy P1500E (1,150lb capacity) automated hoist, with 60ft long connector strip consisting of (6) 20A twistlock circuits and (6) DMX out connectors on 1 universe with QuickTouch 4 for control and fixed speed remote control.

All rigging work to be ETCP code compliant and to meet professional workmanship standards.

Support and Education

5-Year Maintenance and Training Package to consist of (4) annual 1-day site visits to perform training and system maintenance and inspection. 5-year manufacturer’s warranty extension on all equipment, parts, and fixtures.

Comprehensive 5-day student training to promote hands-on STEAM learning and student engagement.  Education will be led by corresponding Industry Professionals. Certificates will be given to students who attend all sessions and exhibit proficiency of educational outcomes. Training package to consist of (5) 2.5-hour sessions focused on STEAM learning opportunities and college-preparing theatrical technology training on topics including console operation, lighting & sound design, and theater engineering.

Professional system training will be provided to students and staff

Audio-Visual and Labor

Additional services to be provided by PureTek Group partners at Keyboard Consultants and Sal Electric.  Keyboard Consultants to provide professional audio-visual upgrades.  On-site electrical labor to be conducted by Sal Electric.  For audio-visual and electrical scopes of work, see associated proposals.
