Audio Visual & Lighting Design Engineer

Job Type: Full-time (Mon to Fri)

Work Location: In Person (Boonton, NJ)

From $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year

We’re growing rapidly—and we’re looking for a skilled Audio Visual Lighting Design Engineer who wants to grow with us, take ownership of exciting projects, and build an incredible career along the way.

What You’ll Do

  • Design AV and lighting systems for a diverse range of projects
  • Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and project teams from concept through installation
  • Provide technical support and guidance during system commissioning
  • Serve as a key liaison between the engineering team and Project Managers, ensuring seamless communication from design through delivery
  • Help lead and mentor fellow engineers, providing technical direction and supporting team growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in AV and/or lighting system design
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, AV technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • CTS-I and/ or CTS-D certification (or willingness to pursue)
  • Proficiency in AV and lighting drawings
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and project planning tools
  • A genuine passion for AV, lighting, broadcast, or immersive technology
  • Solid understanding of low-voltage systems and signal flow
