Passaic County Technical Institute – eSports & Broadcast Studio
Passaic County Technical Institute set out to transform a traditional classroom into a professional-grade esports, broadcasting, streaming, presentation, and event space capable of supporting competitive gaming, live productions, school events, and multimedia content creation. PureTek Group delivered a fully integrated technology environment built around centralized control, networked AV infrastructure, and broadcast-ready systems, creating a flexible venue where students can learn, compete, and produce content using the same technologies found in professional esports and media facilities, delivered in partnership with MRA International, who outfitted the room’s gaming stations, furniture, and workstations.
From the LED video wall and PTZ camera systems to networked audio, intelligent lighting, production communications, and streaming infrastructure, every system was designed to operate as part of a unified ecosystem. The result is a dynamic, future-ready environment that functions as both an esports arena and a professional production studio while remaining intuitive for students and staff to operate.

unRAVL™ Unified Control System
At the center of the PCTI eSports and Broadcast Studio is the unRAVL platform, unifying video, audio, lighting, camera control, and environmental automation into a single touchscreen interface. Rather than requiring students and staff to operate multiple systems independently, unRAVL provides one consistent point of control for the entire room. From recalling broadcast presets and controlling the LED video wall to adjusting lighting scenes, camera functions, and motorized shades, operators can transform the space for competitions, livestreams, presentations, and events with a single command.
LED Video Wall & Visual Systems
Large-format LED video wall, supporting displays, and AV-over-IP video distribution create a flexible visual platform for esports competitions, presentations, digital signage, livestreams, and multimedia events.
Broadcast Camera System
Two PTZ cameras provide professional-quality video capture for livestreams, event coverage, presentations, and broadcasts, allowing operators to remotely pan, tilt, and zoom throughout the space.
Networked Audio Infrastructure
An Allen & Heath audio platform, Dante networking, distributed loudspeakers, and wireless microphone systems deliver clear, flexible audio for esports, presentations, productions, and events.
Esports Commentary & Microphone Systems
Professional shoutcaster headsets, handheld wireless microphones, and studio-grade condenser microphones support live commentary, interviews, hosting, and broadcast production workflows.
Intelligent Lighting & Environmental Design
Intelligent moving fixtures, custom school gobos, and extensive programmable LED accent lighting create immersive competition environments, branded experiences, and dynamic event atmospheres.
Streaming & Content Creation Infrastructure
Professional streaming hardware, NDI camera workflows, Dante audio networking, production control surfaces, and media-production tools enable livestreaming, recording, content creation, and tournament broadcasting.
Production Communications & Automation
A Pliant wireless intercom system provides reliable communication between production staff, operators, and event personnel, supporting coordinated broadcasts, livestreams, competitions, and live events. Motorized blackout shades integrate with automated room presets, allowing the space to be instantly optimized for presentations, broadcasts, and esports competitions at the touch of a button. Underlying these systems is a scalable technology infrastructure built around flexible networking and AV-over-IP architecture, ensuring the facility can adapt to new technologies, expanded production capabilities, and the continued growth of PCTI’s esports, broadcasting, and media education programs.
