Plainfield HS Site Visit Report: Week of 1/15 to 1/19/2024

Visit Date: Week of January 15 to 19, 2024

Overview:

  • Missing components including the inverters and house lighting trim have been located.
  • Esports
    • The Esports arena technology is installed including all hanging equipment as well as terminations for data lines in the half-wall.
    • Acoustic panel lights have been addressed.  RGBW strip lighting to be addressed shortly.
    • Data cabling in rack is being organized and terminated.
    • Flooring is to be installed next week with anticipated completion in the middle to end of the week.
    • Esports install, commissioning, and testing expected to be completed by mid- to late-February.
  • Auditorium
    • Wall/Ceiling strip lighting and house lighting are being installed.
    • The large line array speaker systems have been successfully mounted.
  • Black Box Theater
    • The large projector screen has been installed.  If you look at the photo below you will see that it covers nearly the entire proscenium opening allowing for dynamic presentations and film.
    • Planning for the optimal location and wiring of the projector and speakers is underway.

    What’s Next?

    • Electrical work will move towards conclusion in the Esports arena including completing wiring, data terminations, and initial testing. Remaining acoustic dampening light fixtures will be hung at a later time due to faulty support mechanism and to preserve their appearance during dusty labor process.
    • The track corners in the Esports arena as well as a pipe grid support point will be adjusted to ensure high level of detail and aesthetics.  With adjusted pipe grid support, perfect criss-cross RGBW strip lighting will be mounted to ceiling.
    • House lighting and RGBW strip lighting will continue to be installed in the auditorium.
